Aim and scope

Impressive advances in pharmacology, drug discovery and clinical sciences occurred during the past 15 years, contributing more to the progress of medicine than any other scientific factor.

A paradigm shift is taking place also in pharmaceutical research, moving from a closed and isolated process to a new open model: innovation is more and more generated through international networks, where skills and excellence seemingly distant from each other can meet. Industry-academic research partnerships have indeed become a new R&D model for gaining access to cutting-edge science and new technologies.

This scenario demands new tools to promote, stimulate and support the international research network on pharmacological fields.

PharmAdvances is an English language Journal devoted to an international audience of pharmacologists and clinicians. The Journal aims to expand the horizon of this scientific discipline and to encourage high-quality international research.

The e-Journal publishes rigorously peer-reviewed manuscripts providing broad coverage of all aspects of pharmacology, across themed sections:

The subject of pharmacology is divided into themed sections:

  • Preclinical pharmacology
  • Clinical pharmacology
  • Drug Discovery
  • Ethics
