This document, structured around the contributions of different working groups, stems from the observations that emerged during the regular SIF-Farmindustria table meetings held during 2020-2021, as well as from the 40th National Congress of the Italian Society of Pharmacology (March 9-13, 2021).

The Special Issue is the result of a translation from “Quaderni della SIF” (ISSN 2039-9561), volume 1 – February 2022, titled: “Il valore della partnership tra industria farmaceutica e Società Italiana di Farmacologia per l’innovazione e la sostenibilità”.
